A perfect Gift

John Scott's head stone is finally after months of procrastination of making everything set in stone....literally. We had Larkin Mortuary help us with us with it, they seem to be the best at everything these days. Brians Cousin Layne works up there at their vault company so he told Brian that he could come & set the stone with him. Brian was very , very excited to be able to to this himself.
We decided on the design & made it finnal last thursday....yes you heard me right, as in 4 days prior. Finalized on thursday and in the ground on Monday. Talk about some serious speed
I thought it would be fun to document the process
On the bottom of the front, it says this
"most people only dream about angelswe held on in our arms"
The stone is called "Blue Pearl"
in these pictures it looks grey, but in the sun, it sparkles a deep blue, its breathtaking in the sun

Here is Brian, digging a whole in the ground for the base to sit in

We had the artist carve his hands & feet prints into stone, she did a great job keeping them to his true life size

Wave of Light Remembrance Day

In Remembrance of

John Scott Lowder January
&
Baby Lowder (Twins)
October 15th, was a national day of remembrance for pregnancy loss as well as infant loss and also the wave of light. We lit our candle along with all the other parents accross the world and burned them for 1 hour. By the time everyone burned their candles for 1 hour, there was a continuous wave of light for 24 hours to mark the day. We greatful to be able to participate in this special day...I often wondered how many candles there were burning accross the world.

SHARE Remembrance Walk

In Remembrance of
John Scott Lowder January
&
Baby Lowder (Twins)

Saturday was the SHARE Remembrance walk up in Salt Lake, the artist of the book "Christmas box Angel" ( Authour is Richard Paul Evans)came & spoke to us, as well as his wife. They lost a child many years ago while they were living in Hawaii. A couple of years ago, the Author of the book contacted him to ask if he would do the artwork as well as the 4 foot sculpture of the angel that sits in Salt Lake Cemetery.
There are many angels all over the country now, they are absolutely breathtaking and offer a great amount of peace and comfort to greiving parents who have lost childeren. After they spoke we did a balloon release, Brian and I wrote the names of our babies on the balloons first and then released them into the sky.
